“China poses the greatest challenge of our time to global security and prosperity. Their domestic policies are increasingly authoritarian, and their actions abroad are assertive,” Sunak informed reporters after the G7 summit.
Sunak emphasized that Britain and other G7 countries will work collectively to address the challenges posed by China.
“This is about minimizing risks, not completely disconnecting,” he stated.
“With the G7, we are taking measures to prevent China from employing economic coercion to interfere in the internal affairs of other nations,” he added.
