Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, has placed conditional usage on TweetDeck.
In a message released by the company on Tuesday, it was announced that only verified users would be able to use TweetDeck. This means that users who do not pay Twitter’s fees will not have access to TweetDeck.
The message revealed that the new version of TweetDeck has been introduced, incorporating several changes. Users are required to be verified within 30 days to access TweetDeck, a better and upgraded version. To obtain access to the new and improved version, and select the option ‘Try the new TweetDeck’ in the menu on the left-hand side.
After this process, all saved searches, lists, and columns from the old version will seamlessly transfer to the new version without any hassle.
Previously, TweetDeck was free to use, but now, even for TweetDeck, users will have to pay the fees. According to news agencies, these charges might become a contributing factor for increasing Twitter’s revenue.
Another reason for these charges is Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter. Since then, they have been facing difficulties in boosting revenue through advertisements and maintaining steady income.
Are you experiencing issues while using Twitter? Let’s find out why.
A few days ago, Elon Musk stated that both verified and unverified users will now have their posts limited to a specific number per day. Earlier, Twitter users could read as many tweets as they wanted, but that is not the case anymore.
According to Musk, verified accounts can read up to 6,000 tweets per day, while unverified accounts are limited to only 600 tweets per day. Additionally, new verified accounts can read up to 300 tweets per day.
How much do Twitter users pay for a verified account?
Individuals pay $8 per month to obtain Blue Tick verification on their Twitter accounts, while organizations need to pay $1,000 per month.
It’s evident that TweetDeck’s extensive use is primarily seen in news organizations and businesses for content monitoring purposes.
